We are in search for a highly motivated, multitasker candidate who is enthusiastic about learning and committed to contributing to the organization`s growth, working as Application Engineer. The holder of the position will be hired by Stabilus India Pvt. Ltd. reporting solid line to the CEO of Stabilus India, but dotted line to the Global Sales Application Engineering of the Business Unit Industrial.

J O B D E S C R I P T I O N

Title of position: Application Engineer

Reporting to: Global Sales Application Engineering of Business Unit Industrial

Date of Commencement: As early as possible Work Location: Stabilus India Pvt. Ltd. Pune

Position focus:

The candidate for this full-time position will ensure on-going quality excellence and act as a connecting link between Stabilus production plants, the business unit and the customer. To provide a first point of contact for the Customer with initial application engineering support. In case of quality complaints from the market, the candidate will also be the first person of contact to customers responsible for providing on-site support and close alignment with the quality department of the Stabilus Group.

The Target market & Area for this position:

Industrial Markets in India with dedicated focus to Off-Highway machineries

In this position, the candidate is the main contact person for application engineering and field quality related topics, and in this function coordinator between the customer/sales partners and Stabilus.

The candidate has the responsibility for "never- ending improvement" and is accountable for the quality of his/her work.

The candidate is responsible for communicating and checking all customer requests and requirements. The candidate has to make sure that those are met and at the same time fulfil Stabilus`s interest.

Main Tasks 1. Application Engineering

• Develop technical relationships with the customer and business partners
• Build strong, working relationships with major customer stakeholders
• Clarify the customer specific requirements and offer technical support in cooperation with the regional application engineering team
• Coordinate projects between customer & Stabilus Center of Operations worldwide, especially for new developments
• Get signoffs for newly implemented drawings and design changes
• Initiate sample orders and follow up
• Coordination of drawings, specifications as well as requesting customer approvals
• Facilitate deviation approvals
• Assist with new product introduction

2. Competitor observation

• Observe competitor activities by understanding their product range, talking to existing and potential customers, collecting marketing information, visiting fairs, etc.
• Supporting systematic technical observation of the competition

3. Field quality - quality assurance

• Processing complaints from external customers
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with both internal and external customers
• Support sorting activities and instruct sorting companies
• Collect root cause analysis data and provide corrective feedback to prevent line stops due to quality issues
• Coordinating error analyses, using problem-solving methodologies (like 8Dreports) and determining corrective measures in cooperation with the relevant departments.
• Present root cause findings and counter measures reports

4. Others

• Organize visits to customers
• Write visit reports and carry out necessary activities implied by these
• Contributing to the improvement of customer satisfaction
• Support Area Sales Manager
• Ensure timely input of deliverables into the internal systems CRM-, SAP system, etc.
• Coordination of claims as per internal guidelines

Experience required

• Professional experience in application engineering or project engineering
• Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers in the Industrial field understanding
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
• Experience of working in Quality Assurance
• Manufacturing / engineering degree
• Microsoft office fluency
• Fluent English

Educational and Experience requirements

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (BE) at the minimum.
• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in the field of application engineering or project engineering. Exposure to on-the-job training and certifications are added advantages.
