About the Role

We are looking for a Senior / Lead .NET WinForms Developer to join our engineering team. You will operate as a strong individual contributor while also taking technical leadership on desktop application modules, mentoring team members, and driving architectural decisions. You'll work on enterprise-grade desktop applications that are part of our fintech Order Management System (OMS) product suite, used by capital markets clients across the Gulf region, alongside our broader technology stack (Java Spring Boot, React, Oracle DB).

Prior domain experience in capital markets/trading is not required — we're looking for deep technical strength in enterprise WinForms development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex enterprise desktop applications using .NET WinForms (.NET Framework 4.8)
• Take ownership of features and modules end-to-end as a hands-on individual contributor
• Provide technical leadership: guide design decisions for desktop application components
• Review code, mentor mid-level and junior developers, and uphold engineering best practices
• Debug, refactor, and optimize existing (including legacy) WinForms codebase for performance and maintainability
• Build and maintain application UI and data views using DevExpress controls
• Collaborate closely with backend (Java Spring Boot), frontend (React), QA, and
database teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Work with Oracle DB for data-layer design, queries, and performance tuning
• Participate in client-facing technical discussions and issue resolution when required
• Contribute to release planning, deployment activities, and technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of overall software development experience, with a strong, demonstrable focus on NET WinForms
• Strong command of C# and .NET Framework 4.8
• Hands-on experience with DevExpress WinForms controls/suite
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and understanding performance implications
• Proven experience maintaining, refactoring, and extending large/legacy codebases
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
• Experience mentoring developers and/or leading small technical teams while remaining hands-on
• Strong communication skills — comfortable working directly with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with SVN or other version control systems
• Experience with deployment practices for desktop applications Good to Have
• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Exposure to financial services, trading systems, or capital markets applications
• Working knowledge of Java Spring Boot and/or React (useful for cross-stack collaboration)
• Experience with enterprise security practices (authentication, audit logging, etc.)
